The vast majority of rafts do not encounter any carnage or problems navigating the big holes of the Upper Ocoee. However much like NASCAR most fans like watching the wrecks more than the clean lines. Episode 12 of this season's carnage is now available at fastfreds.com/carnage for free! Feel free to share and tag your friends via this post or youtube. This short video was culled from many hours of video shot between August 5th and 8th. The Upper Ocoee is class IV while the Middle Ocoee is more relaxed Class III. My youtube channel also features much more mundane and calmly guided trips at MIddle Ocoee Trips Playlist and Full River Trips Playlist. Consider watching them as an antidote if the carnage videos make you nervous or anxious. I'll be happy to answer questions or concerns if you are curious about rafting and safety. More carnage to come...

This video clip features plenty of trainee carnage as well as a few rusty guides dumping guests into Godzilla and Humongous! Violent whitewater raft collisions caused by ineffective paddling and guides not keeping the stick in the water. Featuring a trainee interview following a swim at Godzilla and several long swims and flips. The real crowd pleaser was an an extended R1 surf of a trainee while his trainer and friends shouted advice from the bank!
This section features raft guide training gone wrong as well as raft guides gone wild. Opening day on the Upper Ocoee is always special as Class IV returns to the Ocoee. The big holes often get the best of trainees and even seasoned guides after a long winter. The Ocoee Whitewater Center is the place to be to see the show!
Upper Ocoee Carnage - 2015 Season
Featuring Quest Expeditions' Upper Ocoee Guide Trainees, Alien Boof footage, crazed river boarders, and kayakers making it look easy. Most footage was shot at the big holes on the Olympic Channel at the Ocoee Whitewater Center in Tennessee just a short drive from Chattanooga.
Sometimes You Watch the Show; Sometimes You Are the Show!
It happens to everyone if you guide long enough. Godzilla was hungry and demanded some tribute this day while I was guiding a Quest raft. Technically not a dump-truck as I check one victim with my paddled and pull him back in midair. Dump: Make America Wet Again!
Middle Ocoee Carnage
A quick clip I shot early in the 2016 season. It is so funny to hear the guide tell his guest to get down three times and then see guest flop out of the raft. I wonder if he will get down next time?
Ocoee Beatdown Crew - July 2015
Kayakers work on hole skills to make creeking more fun! This sequence of footage features violent surfs and swims in hydraulics at Double Suck and Broken Nose on the Ocoee River in Tennessee.
Ocoee Beatdown Crew - September 2015
Hard boaters surf the big holes of the Ocoee River! Some of the boaters make this look very easy; you may even want to give it a try after watching. Shot at final ledge hole of Broken Nose and Double Suck on the Ocoee River.
