Labor Day Weekend in WNC: Asheville and Big Bradley Falls
Photos and article by fastFred Ruddock
While it was raining all weekend on the coast
the mountains were pleasant and cool. Saturday was spent
riding and seeing a few sights in and around Asheville.
Saturday afternoon several legislative warriors rode to
GRCMMCC and we discussed issues facing South Carolina bikers
and the current funding options for rider education. The
meeting of the minds lasted late into the night. We also
enjoyed a few choice high gravity beers I had purchased
during my visit to the city.
Sunday we relaxed in the river's cool waters
while we talked of more motorcycle related subjects and
a sprinkling of politics. Cliff and Ralph did a lot of grilling
over the course of the three day weekend. We moved a lot
of stones too. Monday four of us took an extreme hike to
Big Bradley and a mountain overlook. There was one tense
moment while scaling a rock face along Cove Creek. Next
GRCMMCC visit to Big Bradley will likely be taken along
an easier path.
