Friday MOTM notes and thoughts:
Four out of the five members of ABATE of SC rode their motorcycles to MOTM 2003 in Green Bay WI. ABATE of SD briefed those present on the Janklow case and released the same as a press release on the subject; it appears justice will be served at this time. An informative handout and presentation of 100 years of motorcyclists rights was given at the start of the
MOTM. Tom Wyld presented "Riding Through Legislation and warned bikers about HIPAA and stresses the need to support S423 and H1749; if you US representative or senators are not sponsors of this legislation contact them today! TEA-21 may provided $100,000 per year to states for rider training.
After lunch on Firday I attended a workshop about how to put together a federal PAC. The purpose of a federal PAC is to gain better access to federal representatives and senators.
The next workshop I attended was "WEB Based Public Relations presented by my friend Teri. Teri's workshop was quite informative for beginners or web gurus. Teri's tips include: 1. Grandma rule: Don't post something you would not want your Grandma to see. 2. Organization: Logical categories and cross linking similar issues makes you site easier to navigate. 3. NO POP UPS! 4. Links: Keep links to other web sites updated. 5. Don't write long paragraphs as servers may truncate them; don't exceed nine lines.
