Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial |
June 24, 2006 |
Pearl Harbor was a touching visit; one of my grandfathers served upon the USS Arizona prior to World War II. Oil droplets still rise from the sunken ship or rather tomb. It is a sombering thought to consider 1,177 service members lost their lives on this spot at 0806 on December 7, 1941. All but 243 are still entombed on the Arizona.
