High Falls in DuPont Forest

High Falls is a little over a mile from the Hooker Falls Parking area. The trail starts southeast of the bridge and follows the river up stream past Triple Falls. There is an overlook near a rest area and picnic shelter. The trail continues on up to the top of High Falls and the bridge built by a developer who intended to build condos and deny public access before the state of North Carolina stepped in to safe the day; the developer got quite rich so don't feel sorry for him either. There is also a trail to the bottom of the falls I strongly recommend.
