Big Bradley Waterfall on July 15, 2006 Page One | Page TwoPhotos and Article by FastFred Upon reaching the base of the Big Bradley waterfall we were alone other than a couple of young ladies. Gwen was quick to jump into the pool to cool off while Bob and I took more pictures. The water was refreshingly cool but not cold. The spray and wind created by the falls cool a large area. Big Bradley is located in a deep gorge some sun light reaches the pool. We were in no hurry to leave but finally we climbed back out to explore the top of Big Bradley. We decided to walk up Cove Creek from the top of Big Bradley and nearly made it back to the point where the path crossed the creek when a thunder storm drove us from the water.
Always use caution near waterfalls the rocks are slick. Big Bradley Falls average about one death each year! |
