Anderson ABATE of SC Chapter Meeting May 20, 2006

Saturday May 20, 2006 I visited the Anderson Chapter meeting. First there was a long informal meeting outside and later inside and everyone had some time to chat and make new friends. Inside on one of the pool table was plenty of informative flyers, newsletters, and awareness stickers. Judy prepared a profession one page agenda; all the current legislative activity was covered as well as an upcoming camping trip and various local runs. Bob gave everyone updates on state issues and the actions of local legislators. After the meeting many folks rode to a FREE BBQ. I rode back to Asheville in Western North Carolina trolling for a clean helmet law ticket. I did not get a ticket but several folks seemed surprised upon learning I was aware of the helmet law but still choose not to wear a helmet. I had a lot of fun.
