The Extreme Activists Party 2003

I rode from work in Charleston to Clolumbia where I met FatherTime who was already one beer ahead of me; I ordered a cold beer and a juicy steak. We left Columbia and rode to Ashville and stopped for the night on Patton St. Thursday morning felt like a weekend as we headed out of Ashville North Carolina bound for the TEA Party in Tennessee.

Sputnik and Mike had arrived just prior to our arrival at Nancy and Harlen's place. The others arrived in short order over the next day or so. The good times and sharing of information began at once. The T-bones cooked by the hosts of the TEA Party were to die for; the cow providing our meal had been raised by our hosts and it was the best I've ever had to date.

No one slept late as Harley's three roosters were early risers but our hosts put out an incredible breakfast. Friday Uncle Rock and a few others rode to the Dragon and Skyway to see the sights; I stuck around and sipped some moonshine while talking with Sputnik. Friday evening came and our riders returned from the Dragon just before the fried turkey was ready. More beer drinking and shine sipping followed the turkey and Sons of Liberty Riders stayed up late trading stories and ideas.

Saturday arrived and it was time for our afternoon business meeting. The meeting was video taped by T for those unable to attend and Hawk joined us via a speaker phone. A lot of issues and biker rights topics came up and were discussed. Harley's EPA letter was one of our topics. A colletion was taken up to deliver to the MRF at MOTM by FastFred and Spotman on behave of SoLR. The Boycott of Myrtle Beach was a hot topic. Several members were disapointed justice was not served in the deaths caused by a Horry County Police Officer who failed to yeild right of way. Grassroots efforts in Horry County did address several of the root causes of the discrimination and un-biker friendly attitudes in their local government. SoLR decided to lift the boycott as requested by ABATE of SC for many of the same reasons.
